MediaData TV Brings EIDR Registry to Brazil’s Entertainment Industry

The Entertainment ID Registry (EIDR) has partnered with MediaData TV, a TV metadata provider specializing in Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking markets in the Americas and Europe regions, to help territory-specific streamers and FAST channels in Brazil gain access to EIDR registry data and its content recognition benefits in the industry.

The deal has MediaData TV registering content for media and entertainment players in Brazil to EIDR, allowing ecosystem acceleration in one of the biggest audiovisual markets in Latin America. The goal is to help companies to access to the registry and gain insights provided by EIDR’s universal identifiers. EIDR permits MediaData TV to homologate the availability of the content coming from local markets with global content providers making them easily reachable internationally and permitting faster catalog ingestion projects.

EIDR is in talks with other metadata aggregators to repeat the model outside of Brazil.

MediaData TV is a leading provider of streaming video catalogs metadata and electronic program guide (EPG) services in Spanish and Portuguese, with movies, tv shows and celebrity enriched information reaching more than 100 million consumers every day.

The Barcelona-based company’s customers and partners include top pay TV operators, OTT media service providers, consumer electronics manufacturers, broadcasters, content rights holders and advertisers in both Americas and Europe.
